Other commonly used ingredients are mayonnaise, honey, olive oil, avocado, yogurt, almond oil, vinegar, etc. For dry hair take 1 tbsp. of olive oil with one egg yolk and 1 cup of warm water, for oily hair you can mix one egg yolk, 1 tbsp. of honey and 1 Tbsp cornmeal or cornstarch. Make an easy protein treatment by combining egg yolks and plain yogurt for dull dandruff prone hair. Mesh up one avocado with a one tbsp. of mayonnaise gently massage into your damp hair and leave in for 20 minutes this hair treatment is best for frizzy hair.
The Protein hair treatment starts with cleaning your hair so first of all shampoo your hair and then remove extra moisture out of it. Apply the protein treatment in wet hair. then wrap it in a shower cap or if needed in a hot towel, leave for at least 20 minutes and then wash off and then apply your regular hair conditioner.
There are several factors that should be taken care of while considering how often you should use a home protein treatment. Very dry, frizzy, dull, over exposed hair to heat appliances need more frequent treatments. Bi-weekly treatments are ideal for chemically treated hair and naturally dry or curly hair need monthly hair protein treatment.
